FAQ 01: Is Decadent Doggie! Jerky for little dogs only?
This is one of our most- asked questions. Decadent Doggie! Jerky are the perfect size for any dog – - from tiny -weenie to Big to HUGE. We could see how you might think that since we have a bunch of pictures of our little dogs on our site. However, our Jerky are anywhere from 5 to 8 inches long and from 2 to 4 inches wide, our Jerky is big enough for any size dog. Click here to see a picture of how big they really are.

FAQ 02: Where does Decadent Doggie! get the meat for all their Jerky?
Decadent Doggie! uses 100% USDA Grade “A” whole chicken & turkey breast from a high-end restaurant supplier in Chicago. These are the very same chicken and turkey breast that you’ll find in Chicago’s best restaurant’s. Each piece of our Jerky is cut from a whole breast, it’s one continuous piece of meat that stays chewier and holds together better than many other meat dog treats.

Many jerkies you find in stores are made with parts of chicken and turkey which are ground up and mashed together and formed into strips before dehydrating. That’s why they all look the same –(texture, color, and are similar in size.)

We feel that if you start with quality ingredients you’ll end up with quality products.

FAQ 03: How should I store my Decadent Doggie! Jerky?
We do not use ANY perservatives in our jerky so you need tokeep your Decadent Doggie! Jerky refrigerated—even prior to opening it. If you feel that its going to take your pup a while to get through the package, you can always throw them in the freezer, and they will last even longer.

Tip: If you want your Decadent Doggie! Jerky to be a little chewier, or easier for a puppy or older dog to eat, just sprinklke them with a little water and let them rehydrate for 5-10 minutes before giving them to your pet.

Important: Please be aware that we include a silica gel pack in each Decadent Doggie! Jerky package to help control moisture. DO NOT leave your package of Jerky anywhere your dog can possibly get to them on their own because, unforunately, no matter how smart we want to believe they are, they just can’t read that little packet that says “Do Not Eat!”

FAQ 08: How do I know if the chicken jerky brand I’m feeding my dog is made in China?
If you have some chicken jerky you’ve purchased, grab the package. Look on the back of the package, somewhere probably in small print by the bar code you’ll see it “Made in China”. Many of the treats you find in pet stores or order online are really “Made in China”; they are imported in and, to get around being marked “Made in China” on the product, they package them here in the USA, and label them as being “Packaged in the USA”. You’ve got to watch out for this. It’s intentionally sneaky and deceptive. Why are they afraid to let you know where a product is made? This is always a “red flag” to us. Click here to read the “Made in China” dangers.

FAQ 09: Is Decadent Doggie! Jerky safe for puppies and older dogs?
We recommend that you discuss your pet’s diet with your veteranarian. Our Jerky is high in protein and low in fat, a very healthy treat both by human and dog standards. If your pet is on a low protein diet for health reasons, please consult your veterinarian and bring him/her a package of Decadent Doggie! Jerky. Have them check out our product, read the ingredients, and provide you with their professional opinion. If there are any questions, we’ll be happy to answer them for you.

FAQ 10: How should I feed my dog Decadent Doggie! Jerky?
Our little Pomerianians are chewers; they usually get a whole piece to chew. They hold them in their little paws and gnaw on them ( it usually takes them awhile). However, sometimes they’re a little lazy and like us to hold them while they chew on them. They’re spoiled what can we say?

If you have a dog that’s a gulper (swallows treats whole without chewing), you may want to break the Jerky apart into bite-sized pieces appropriate to your dog’s size, and feed the pieces one at a time. If your dog gulps treats, than your probably already used to feeding them treats that way.

FAQ 11: How many pieces of Decadent Doggie! Jerky should I feed my dog?
